Andrew and Melissa’s Lake Hopatcong proposal
A few years ago, I received a message from someone hoping to purchase one of my Morristown prints. After some back and forth, it turned out our apartments were only a few doors down from each other. Small world, right?
I was ecstatic when that same person emailed me recently to ask me if I would be able to photograph his proposal to his girlfriend at Stonewater at 3 Peaks Marina in Lake Hopatcong, N.J. Proposals along the dockside are one of my favorites because the reflection off the water and the stunning backgrounds provide for an amazing setting to ask the biggest question of your life. Perched in between two docked boats, I was able to document from afar as Andrew and Melissa enjoyed a lakeside stroll after a fantastic meal and then held my breath as Andrew dropped to a knee and asked her to marry him. Of course she said yes and I was lucky enough to spend some time with Andrew and Melissa as I took more pictures of the newly engaged couple around the dock.
